The new Ticketmaster app offers a range of features not offered on mobile web view, including instant notifications for important events or artists, easy Sell navigation and the ability to change between countries for purchase or entry. Most importantly, once you’ve viewed your ticket in the app, it's automatically saved and ready to be scanned even without internet connectivity.
Downloading the app
To download the free app, select your mobile device below:
How can I tell if I’m downloading or using the new app?
To download the new one, select the app labelled Ticketmaster. If you have both apps downloaded on your phone, look for the flag in the upper left corner for an indication of the new app. You can delete the one labelled Ticketmaster NZ.
What should I do if I don’t have space on my phone to download the app?
By deleting the old app from your phone, you should have the space to download the new one. If you don’t have space at all for the app, we recommend using the mobile web view to access your tickets in the meantime.
Using the new app
We’ve organised the app for easy navigation while purchasing and managing your tickets. Apple users will find these buttons at the bottom of their screen. Android users can navigate the app by tapping the three bars in the upper left corner to open the menu.

This page will appear once you open the app and sign in. From here, you can search for your desired event using the search bar or by selecting a location and date.
How do I purchase tickets on the app?
Once you've selected the event you'd like to attend from the Home page, ensure you've chosen the correct venue location. Ticketmaster doesn't sell for every venue, so if you see a location missing, it may be sold on another site.
From the ticket purchase page, follow these steps:
- Use the dropdown to select the amount of tickets you'd like to purchase.
- Tap the Filters button to sort the list of tickets by price and section or select a group of tickets under Ticket Type. If you're purchasing presale tickets, tap Unlock to add your code.
- Scroll through the list to see tickets by price or zoom in on the map to view the sections. Tap a section to view a list of all the available tickets in that area.
- Select your desired tickets.
- Review the ticket location, order subtotal and delivery method, then tap Next.
- Add or select your payment method.
- Once you've reviewed the final details, agree to the Terms of Use and tap Place Order.
What do the symbols on the purchase page mean?

In this section, you can tap Add Favourites to create a curated list of upcoming events based on your favourited artists, performers, teams and venues.

This page allows you to view and manage your tickets. Tap an event for more details about your ticket, view your tickets or tap the add-to-wallet button to save them to your phone's mobile wallet before leaving for the event so they're always ready to be scanned, even when you’re offline.
You can also list your tickets by tapping Sell or transfer them to friends and family using the Transfer button. Visit our FAQs How do I sell tickets? or How do I transfer tickets? for step-by-step instructions. -
Manage your notifications, location settings and preferences from the My Account page. Or you can use the links under the Help & Guidance section to view articles from our Help Center.
If you’d like to sign out of your account in the app, scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Sign Out.
Will the tickets I purchased before downloading the new app be in My Account?
Yes, if you sign in using the same My Account credentials, you’ll have access to your purchases. Tickets transferred or sold before you downloaded the new app will still be owned by the recipient or buyer.
If you're having trouble viewing your orders, we recommend completely closing out of the app and reopening it. Otherwise, contact Fan Support for assistance. They’ll need to know if you’re using the new app, your phone or device model and the App Version number, which can be found in the My Account section under either About in the old app or Legal in the new app.
Can I still use tickets I saved to my digital wallet before downloading the new app?
Yes, tickets that you saved in your Apple or Google wallet will still give you entry to your event.
How do I change my country?
When you open the new app for the first time, you’ll be notified that you can change countries by tapping the flag in the right hand corner. Currently, you can choose between Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States.
